Tucker Berger enters his third season as Head Football Coach of the Deer Park Wildcats, continuing to build a program rooted in accountability, development, and community pride. He was appointed Head Coach in February 2024, bringing extensive experience and a deep commitment to Deer Park High School and its student-athletes.
Prior to taking the helm, Coach Berger served as a Varsity Assistant and Offensive Coordinator at Deer Park beginning in August 2020, where he played a key role in advancing the Wildcats’ offensive approach and overall program performance. His familiarity with the school and community has been instrumental in establishing continuity and a strong program identity.
A standout athlete in his playing days, Coach Berger starred as a linebacker at Wyoming High School before continuing his football career at Miami University. There, he competed for the Club Football Team and served as Vice President, demonstrating leadership both on and off the field. Those experiences strongly influence his coaching philosophy, which emphasizes player development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect.
As head coach, Coach Berger is committed to building a competitive and sustainable football program at Deer Park. His focus extends beyond wins and losses, prioritizing the growth of each student-athlete academically, athletically, and personally. His leadership fosters a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Beyond football, Coach Berger remains actively involved in the Deer Park community, mentoring and supporting student-athletes and working to make a lasting, positive impact on their futures. Under his leadership, the Deer Park Wildcats continue to look ahead with confidence and a clear vision for excellence in all aspects of the program.
